When I was growing up, my youngest sister refused to smile in a picture. So my dad picked her up, turned her upside down, and that was the sibling picture that year. Forty years later, this is the picture we always talk about and smile remembering that moment.
As the parents, if you have a magic wand to make your child look at the camera and give their best smile-- please bring it! But I have found that many times, parents are trying to get their kids to "smile nicely", which then turns into frustration, and now everyone is annoyed. OR your child finally turns and gives the perfect smile at the camera, but now you are looking away! Let me do the work of getting everyone looking at the camera, and you can just flash your million dollar smile.
I will do my best to get your child looking at the camera, I have a lot of tricks in my bag--but sometimes it just doesn't work. And that's okay. We are capturing the moment-- and sometimes it might just be what it is. Even if it's a little silly or has a frown. That being said, I'll give you everything I got to create a photo that reflects your children's inner joy.
